Karen has worked in the cultural heritage and native title sector for over 20 years. During this time, she has worked on historic and Aboriginal cultural heritage projects in Tasmania, Victoria and Queensland. Those projects have ranged from heritage assessments for mining companies and developers in Far North Queensland to historic research for the University of Tasmania and salvage excavations and monitoring for the Tasmanian Department of Main Roads and Cairns Regional Council. Work has been undertaken for a wide range of employers and clients including the Queensland and Tasmanian Departments of Parks and Wildlife, the National Native Title Tribunal, local government authorities, mining companies, Aboriginal parties and individuals.
