Converge Heritage + Community was engaged by White Horse Australia Lindeman Pty Ltd to prepare a Non-Indigenous Cultural Heritage (NICH) Technical Report for the proposed redevelopment of the Lindeman Island resort. The technical report was prepared to meet the Terms of Reference for the Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed development. The project area was located within the existing resort grounds on the south side of Lindeman Island within the Whitsunday Island Group near Proserpine in North Queensland.

The scope of the technical report and survey and included preparation of a summary of the history and environment of the areas impacted by the proposed project; presentation of the results of the NICH field assessment; description of the nature of the heritage significance of places and areas affected by the proposed project and the potential impacts of the project in relation to this significance; and specific recommendations for the management and protection of potential NICH sites and areas.
