Respecting Country, Culture, and Community

At Converge Heritage + Community, we provide comprehensive services in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage, grounded in respect, trust, and more than 25 years of experience working alongside Traditional Owners across Queensland and beyond.

We understand that cultural heritage is deeply connected to identity, Country, and community. Our role is to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the protection and management of their cultural heritage, while helping proponents meet their legal and ethical responsibilities under the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003, Torres Strait Islander Cultural Heritage Act 2003, Native Title Act 1993, and other relevant frameworks.

Our team includes archaeologists, anthropologists, historians, cultural heritage specialists, and skilled technical advisors who work collaboratively with both Aboriginal groups and project proponents. We are known for facilitating respectful consultation, developing best-practice Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs), and negotiating Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs) and other heritage agreements.

We also assist in the employment and training of Traditional Owner representatives, support community capacity building, and provide registered labour hire services—with over 400 Aboriginal employees currently engaged through our network. Our services extend to mapping, GIS data systems, cultural site assessments, and community-led interpretation and keeping place projects.

Our approach is built on meaningful engagement and long-term partnerships. We don’t just meet compliance—we prioritise cultural authority, empower local communities, and help deliver heritage outcomes that are informed, inclusive, and enduring.
