Converge Heritage + Community was engaged by Fraser Coast Regional Council to produce Conservation Management Plans (CMP) for a number of State listed places in Maryborough, including the City Hall, Customs House and Residence, the Heritage Centre, the Bond Store, the School of Arts, Queens Park, Maryborough War Memorial and the Maryborough Cemetery. The CMPs provided Council with strategies to manage these significant heritage assets and landmark icons in the city of Maryborough.

Each CMP provides a historical analysis of the heritage place, detailed descriptions of the heritage elements and significance assessments to inform the planning of future maintenance and works. A set of conservation policies were prepared for each, along with an action plan to implement the policies and maintenance plan for the day-to-day management of the heritage places. Following the preparation of the CMPs, Converge assisted Council with planning for conservation works to the Maryborough City Hall.
