Yarrabee Coal Mine Continuation Project Non-Indigenous Cultural Heritage

Converge Heritage + Community was engaged by Yarrabee Coal Company Pty Ltd to deliver a Non‑Indigenous Cultural Heritage assessment for the Yarrabee Coal Mine Continuation Project near Blackwater, Central Queensland. Our team undertook a detailed contextual desktop study to identify potential heritage places within the project area, followed by an on‑site assessment to verify significance and condition. We prepared a comprehensive technical report outlining the significance of identified heritage values, assessing potential project impacts, and providing clear, practical recommendations to guide the management of Non‑Indigenous Cultural Heritage. This work supported the proponent in meeting statutory obligations while ensuring informed and responsible project planning.
